The Greek Community school has been operating for more than 20 years and is seen as a vital resource for the local community in maintaining the Greek culture, language and heritage in Wellington's ever changing social and economic environments.

Brief description of curriculum
Primary School: Greek language (speaking, reading and writing) and elements of Greek history and Greek culture in general.
Adult Classes : Speaking, reading and writing Greek.
There are three levels : Beginners, Intermediate (for those with some basic knowledge of the Greek language – spoken and written) and Advanced (for those with higher comprehension and fluency in speaking, and a more detailed understanding of grammar). A new evening Conversation Class will start this year for teenagers and adults.

Class 1 – Ms Dina Viatos, Tuesdays and Thursdays 4.00 - 5.45pm
Class 2 - Ms Eleni Diakaki, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 4.00 - 5.45pm
Class 3 – Mr Nikos Karagiannidis, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 4.00 - 5.45pm
Class 4 – Mr Kostas Feimis, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 4.00 - 5.45pm
The days and times for the adult classes are as follows:
a) Beginners - Mr Nikos Karagiannidis, Thursdays 7.00 – 9.00pm
b) Intermediate - Mr Nikos Karagiannidis, Tuesdays 7.00 – 9.00pm
c) Advanced - Mr Kostas Feimis Tuesdays 7.00 – 9.00pm
d) Conversation Class – Ms Eleni Diakaki, 7.00 – 9.00pm, day t. b. a.
Enrolment Fees
Preschool and Primary School: $200 per annum per student. Family discount: 2 children, $300; 3 children $350 per annum.
